FALL RETREAT is just around the corner and we are looking forward to three exciting days of teaching, spiritual growth, fun and fellowship!

This retreat is designed to help students renew their faith and love in Christ. God bless you for encouraging your child in their faith.

The basic format for the retreat is a time for your child to join students from other Northeast EMC churches to look closely at their relationship with God, and their response to Him, especially through the person of Jesus Christ.

All youth 6th – 12th grades

WHEN WILL WE LEAVE & RETURN
 
We will be leaving the church parking lot on Friday at 4:15pm. We are asking everyone to be there by 3:45pm to pack the trailer. We will be arriving back on Sunday, around noon.

We will be stopping on the road for dinner. 

 
*IMPORTANT NOTE CONCERNING THE MOHAWK BOWL:
 
The following is for Kingdom and Covenant Students – We will be shuttling students from the Kingdom parking lot after the Mohawk bowl. We will be providing food for those traveling up later. Please indicate on the registration form (space provided) when your child will be traveling.

 

 
WHAT WILL WE DO?
Everyday we will be uplifted and challenged through worship services, interactive teaching, fellowship, games, food (my personal favorite), and ample free time to enjoy the Camp facilities.

WHAT DO WE BRING?
We will be staying in cabins, with beds and bathrooms. Students must bring bedding (twin size) and pillows, toiletries, towels, Bible, pen/pencil, and enough clothing for three days. Skateboards, sports equipment, balls, fishing poles, and musical instruments are encouraged.
Students are also encouraged to bring snacks and drinks for themselves and at least one bag of a salty or sweet snack and one 2 liter bottle of soda to be shared with the group (we will be providing bottled water). Your child/children will need at least $30 for food on the way up and back and for snacks while there.
 
Electronics and Phones concerning EDGE Students Only
Students will be discouraged from having electronics of any kind (mp3 players, iPod’s, etc…) with the exception of cell phones. Cell phones will be collected and given back when needed, and at the end of camp. Any electronics discovered will be put in holding (by me or one of our leaders) and returned when the retreat is over.
 
WHAT IF WE CAN’T AFFORD TO GO?
It is our desire that no child be left behind, so we have created a scholarship fund through the generous supporters of our churches. (we have plenty of funds for scholarships and really enjoy using it). If you are in need of financial assistance, please contact Your church youth leader. Finances will NEVER be a reason for our youth to not attend a retreat or any other function with the purpose of affecting their lives for eternity.
